Looking for a classic Hollywood dive bar? This is it! People from all walks of life come here. I ordered an Old Fashioned, which isn't my go-to, but I asked the bartender for his favorite cocktail, and it was surprisingly good and strong. This is a dive bar with a solid drinks selection. My wife ordered a Coke since she wasn't in the mood for anything alcoholic. There were some interesting characters day drinking, and it was great people-watching with lots of regulars. The interactions were priceless. The bartender asked a regular if he'd left his helmet, and when he showed it to him, the regular quipped, "My head is bigger." The helmet looked like a kid's size, and the guy did have a small head. It was a funny interaction in a room full of characters, like something out of "A Confederacy of Dunces."
The bouncer checking IDs outside, sporting a Santa hat, noticed my wife's upcoming birthday and wished her a happy birthday. It was a really nice touch!
We will definitely be back for drinks and to people-watch the interesting characters!

Cool old little dive bar right nextdoor to the Pantages theater! Very small inside, but cozy and comfy, check it out if you are in the area! Got a lot of history in this place! 😁
